My Entry into Cricut Monthly Challenge

Well here it is my entry for the monthly challenge!
It was  challenge about creativity and in the end I decided that I wanted to use this in my bedroom hence the choice of color scheme. I used die cuts with a view Linen Closet stack patterned paper and cardstock. I also used the Opposites Attract, George, and Lovely Floral cartridges to cut out the titles and hearts. I also added embellishements of pearls, chipboard and acetate hearts. It's a little piece of me so I really was pleased by it and it's simplicity.

My Christmas class binder cover

For the Cut the Crazy Out of Christmas class I am taking from Big Picture Classes, we had to decorate our binder for our first assignment. We were asked to put a picture on it that reminded me of the holidays and hopefully featured ribbon.
Here is mine:
My cover features a digital paper pattern with the Christmas Planner written with a Lettering Delights font. I added my picture of my pretty kitty and a couple of stickers featuring stock pics from the season. I then added some ribbon to highlight the actual title of the class which I cut out and pasted onto strips. Lastly I added a couple of little flowers for added color. (The colors are a little washed out in the pic) So far I am really enjoying this class, even though I am behind this week!

Halloween Lantern

Cute Halloween idea and simple! I love scrapnfonts and letteringdelights. If you don't know about them please check them out as they have tons of great products. They specialize in fonts to purchase and download but they can be used as much more than just journaling. They have alot of doodlebat designs which means you press the A button but will wind up with a picture that you can print out and do various things with.

For Halloween they made this:

Autumn Pies Recipe Card

So I am part of the Cricut Circle and every week we have a design challenge and I finally decided to do one. This week was to use 4 basic colors of tan, burgundy, orange and grey and texture in your project. I decided to do a recipe card design.

I also decided to challenge myself and use up some scraps I had instead of all new paper. I only used 1 sheet of new burgundy paper for the main part. I embossed the leaves and tanned bottom border, put grey paper through a crimper for my pie plates and used glitter paper for the titles. I used Wild cards cart for the leaves and Autumn Title and the George cart for the Pie title. I added some hole punch leftovers to my red pie for added texture and put a little glaze on it to give it a gooey look. I inked the edges of the leaves (the orange leaves are debossed while the burgundy leaves are embossed) and drew in steam lines with a white souffle pen. Lastly I added a red glossy sticker dot  to add 1 more bit of texture and rounded the corners.
